Tips to Recharge Your Iman

Ever felt like you’re having an Iman dip? That after being a very active, productive Muslim – praying on time, reading Qur’an frequently, always looking forward to doing good deeds – you are becoming lazy and that your enthusiasm to perform the same way is fading?

I’ve felt like that so many times. Life is full of ups and downs, and the downs are sometimes powerful enough to distract us and lower our enthusiasm. Yet, there are easy solutions that can help us get over an Iman low. Here are some tips that can help you refresh your Iman in sha Allah:

1) Have the will to start again

Of course you’ve heard of the saying: where there is a will, there is a way. As cliché as it sounds, the reality is: nothing will change unless you decide to take action. It all starts within you: if you want to be active, you will be active and nothing will stop you in sha Allah. Just take the decision not to surrender to your desires, make du’aa to Allah to help you stick to your decision and watch how everything will go as you wish and even better, in sha Allah!

7 Physical Benefits of Saying Salat

In the five Islamic pillars, Salat is the most commonly performed and perhaps the distinctive quality of Muslims. It is the five times a day prayer that differentiates Muslims from non-Muslims in terms of their form of worship. It is an obligation upon every Muslim and they all have to learn and perform Salat without any excuse.

Every Muslim is aware of the benefits and importance of Salat. It brings a Muslim close to Allah Almighty, serves as a form of invocation, helps find solace from the troubles of this world and increases the chances of a Muslim getting higher reward in the world hereafter. Therefore, without any doubt every Muslim offers Salat as a means of fulfilling his or her obligation and becoming more pious and righteous.

In addition to all the religious and spiritual benefits, Salat also comes with physical benefits. Although Muslims primarily offer it because of its religious obligations, however, the present day science has enabled people to see the physical benefits of it as well and now Muslims can also offer Salat with the secondary objective of keeping physically healthy.

Importance of Salah (Prayer) According to the Holy Quran

Salah is the major form of worship that a Muslim offers five times a day regularly. It is an obligation upon a Muslim and a Muslim is to offer no excuse when it comes to offering Salah. The offering of Salah in addition to representing the submission of Muslims to their Lord also has other benefits as well which are highly cherished by every Muslim.

The establishment of Salah is one of the major topics upon which Quran has emphasized more than anything else. In Quran Allah Almighty has stressed upon Muslims to learn to offer Salah regularly and with mentions of offering Salah Allah has also mentioned its benefits with it as well. The lines below give the major benefits of Salah that elaborate the importance of Salah.

Your Mother

All praise is for Allah and peace and blessings be upon the Prophet Muhammed May Allah send peace and blessings upon him.

After Allah and his Messenger May Allah send peace and blessings upon him, the most beloved and respected person to a Muslim should be his MOTHER! Allah has given the mother such status that He says,

“ Paradise lies under the feet of mothers.”

Obedience and respect towards your mother is a very important duty in Islam and is similar to performing Salaah and keeping fast. To hurt your mother in any way is the second biggest sin and those who  commit this evil sin will be harshly punished by Allah in the hereafter or maybe even in this world!

Your mother is not a Prophet, nor is she an angel; she’s just a human like you and I, so why has Allah ordered you to be obedient towards your mother and why does your mother have such a high status in Islam?
